Facilitation within a team building event is a great way to improve the
focus of your event, as it gives your guests some tangible team building
qualities to work on. Here at Out Of The Office, we can provide an
experienced team building consultant or facilitator to monitor feedback
and evaluation during or after your event. This will give your event
more focus and keep guests energised and teams united.
A team which has a lack of understanding between colleagues will result
in frustration. We encourage open discussion to highlight such issues
and work on methods of moving forward. Facilitation within a team
building event will help teams and individuals to identify areas where
they work well and areas for improvement. Our aim is to allow guests to
learn in a fun and relaxed environment allowing us to instigate positive
changes in behaviour.
Our facilitation element covers a number of areas including:
- Establishing clear aims and objectives
- Encouraging honest and open discussion
- Ensuring your team stays focused on the task
- Encouraging evaluation and change
- Establishing issues and areas for discussion
- Challenging existing assumptions and behaviours to encourage
different perceptions
- Encouraging understanding
What Happens On The Day?
- Working alongside yourself, we will highlight two key objectives
and skills required to complete your event; for example communication,
leadership, planning, delegation etc
- Roles will be assigned and a plan of action made for the task ahead
- Our facilitator will monitor how your team works within these skill
sets and objectives, and also how guests work within their agreed roles
- You will have the opportunity to ask pertinent questions to
challenge the success of our agreed plan, so as to encourage ongoing
evaluation and appropriate change
- At the end of your event, our facilitator will provide an
evaluation and discuss the positive elements of the agreed approach
- Two further key objectives for improvement will then be agreed upon
and your guests will be given the opportunity to put them into practice
- This will continue through a series of 4-6 events allowing our
facilitator to compile a ‘discussion list' of objectives and monitor
your guest’s improvement
- A motivational sum up and ‘discussion list' of objectives and
agreed successful skills learned will be delivered, alongside any future
goals we think are appropriate for your team
What Happens After The Event?
- We can provide a questionnaire and a graphic and written
presentation of all your guest's feedback of the event; including
enjoyment, team building development, skills tested and improved, skills
still needing improvement and any other areas you feel are relevant
- We can also provide, in addition, a detailed written report of the
facilitator's findings or arrange a post-event meeting with our
facilitator to discuss their findings from your event
