Enotria - School Sports Day (9th July 2010)

Frame

On the most glorious day of the year so far, our group from Enotria had their Summer School Sports Day at the beautiful venue of Burnham Beeches, in Berkshire.

Though the heat was intense, our teams’ spirits weren’t affected, as they went head to head in four different zones in order to be crowned top of the class! There were some hilarious feats of athleticism shown in the classic school races, including sack races, egg and spoon, bean bag races and of course 3 legged. In slalom fashion the teams showed a wealth of competitiveness and definitely had their eyes on the gold the whole time!

To kick back and chill out, the teams also took on each other in our playtime zone; the class favourite being Giant Jenga; however there were a couple of mean Giant Chess games to be had throughout the day too!

Of course any ‘back to school’ trip wouldn’t be complete without a swift visit back to the classroom so we also had the teams pitting their wits against each other in science and maths challenges which required some exercise of the brain whilst giving their limbs a rest(!) before they finally took on our Field Trip zone. Complete with blindfold tent building and snake swamp crossing, there was definitely a little bit of cheating involved but most of all, a whole hearted approach to all the tasks they had before them.

After a brilliant two hours, the final results were in and in a tense and closely fought final, we had our winners – Team 8 with a fantastic 51 marbles!

Many thanks again to all who attended and we hope to be seeing Enotria again in the future!
