CommUNITY Barnet - Teamtastic! (22nd July 2010)
On a sunny but at times showery day at The Node Conference Centre near Stevenage, six brave colleagues tackled the challenge that is Out Of The Office’s ‘Teamtastic’ day!
With 10 challenges ahead of them, CommUNITY Barnet got stuck straight in with Snake Swamp, Blindfold Tent Building, Safe Cracking and a Skill Target Hitting game. With the ‘Fluffy Destoyers’ leading the way after round four, it was time to tackle a few indoor challenges whilst the weather closed in. After a great performance on Operational International and our Bomb Disposal game by both teams, it was time for lunch and an impressive BBQ spread put on courtesy of The Node.
The weather thankfully subsided after lunch and it turned into a beautiful afternoon to be in the countryside. We upped the difficulty level further after lunch with the teams facing three of our classic games in Virus, Minefield Madness and It’s A Numbers Game. With winning tokens hard to come by, the teams completed their day on a closely fought game of Giant Jenga. The Fluffy Destroyers came out on top of a tense and nerve racking finale and took the spoils, leaving the other team wondering… what if Barry had just held his nerve whilst manouvering that final Jenga piece!
