Think you know your skirt from your spinnaker? How about your port from your starboard?! Well here’s your chance to prove it as Out of the Office bring you the ultimate in team building sailing days. For anything ranging from corporate hospitality to full blown team sailing, we have the right package for your group and can guarantee a brilliant day for all!

Based in Southampton, our fully experienced team will put you and your team through their paces as they teach you all you need to know to take on and race your very own sailing yacht. Our experienced skippers also have many accolades under their belt, including Madeira to Cowes Race Winners 2008, Royal Ocean Racing Club Yacht of the Year 2009 and Round Ireland Winners 2010 so you know you’re in safe hands with us!

Your Sailing Day

Morning Captain!
After whetting your appetite with some breakfast bacon butties, our experienced captains will lead you in teams of 8 to your sailing boats – the winning 38 foot long, Reflex 38s, Jaguar and Puma Logic. Once aboard you will receive a health and safety briefing plus a quick tutorial as to your sailing basics before you steer your way off into the Solent to start your sailing day. Moving everyone round the different roles, you will then learn on the job the different roles aboard from steering and winching to making the most successful tack – all the while taking on some vital nautical lingo – READY ABOUT!

Sail Away!
Taking a lunch break on board, your team will have the chance to take a 45min break to take in the beautiful South coast scenery before it starts getting serious! Your afternoon will then see you and your team having to work seamlessly together in order to make your tacks in record time and see you really cut through the water. Excellent communication from your team member at the helm is needed in order to get your timings just right on the change over and any lapse in team work will see your sail blowing helplessly in the wind and your boat lose its winning edge! With the chance to get up the large spinnaker sail to take you down wind at speed too, your team will be running around and having a great time as you take on your competitor in an end race in order to be crowned victorious!
